The concept
In place of the classic give-way symbol stands the top of a tower with 5G data antenna modules. The artistic gesture moves the meaning of a symbol from the space of road traffic into that of digital infrastructure.
The “Give Way” sign no longer indicates priority at a junction, but the yielding of bandwidth in a hyper-connected society. The visual fragment of the 5G tower points to the structure that stands between people and the virtual environment.
The piece was exhibited at “Dincolo de Pace și Frică” (Beyond Peace and Fear), 25 November 2023, Victoria Art Gallery, Iași, Romania.
